Employee → Barefoot Therapist → Independent Contractor → Room Renter
You’ll start part-time, build skill and confidence, grow your client base, and move toward independence over time.
Why Barefoot Massage
About 10 years into my massage career, I was already dealing with thoracic outlet syndrome, neck pain, and inflamed elbows from the physical wear and tear of hands-on deep tissue work.

Barefoot massage gave me back my career. It allowed me to keep doing the kind of therapeutic work I believed in, but in a way that was more sustainable for my own body. More than 20 years later, I’m still going strong, and it also made it possible for me to continue my training in Rolfing® Structural Integration.
I can honestly say that path would not have happened without barefoot massage.

Requirements
• Current NC massage therapy license
• Liability insurance
• 2+ years experience preferred, open to the right newer therapist.
• Must live within 30 minutes of Durham, NC
• Willingness to train in barefoot massage
