Here at Bull City Soles Massage & Bodywork studio we have a team of talented and gifted massage therapists to choose from when you're looking for relief from your chronic pain. We want you to get to know our therapists so you can choose the best fit for you! We'd like to introduce Carly Braswell, one of our newest therapists. While she's new to Bull City Soles, she's been a Barefoot Massage Therapist since 2013. Trained by yours truly. ;)

"Hello, I’m Carly! Let me tell you a little about myself.

I grew up participating in many sports and grew into triathlons and road races as an adult. It was at these races I always noticed the masses waiting for massage therapy at the finish line. When I experienced a shoulder injury while training for an Ironman 70.3 that resulted in limited range of motion and pain, I finally tried massage therapy. I was always willing to try a natural route before prescriptions or surgery,

But I was astounded by the pain relief and increased range of motion that I experienced with treatment!

Shortly after, I left a side job coaching athletics to pursue massage therapy school and educate others on soft tissue manipulation techniques.

I graduated from Sunstate Academy in Clearwater, FL, in January of 2012. During my schooling, my instructors stressed adopting modalities to extend my career. A cupping demonstration opened my shoulder tissue swiftly. My class also watched a video of barefoot massage, and I promised myself I would find classes and learn these techniques.

The summer after graduation, I found Julie’s barefoot massage classes in NC. We made plans to visit family, and I enrolled in my first continuing education class! Later that year, I took the cupping class as well, and both proved to be techniques clients love. The effectiveness of these therapies on the body's tissue is eye-opening.

A few years ago, my heart was seeking change and we decided to relocate to my husband’s family farm here in NC. I always loved our visits to NC and appreciated the changing seasons, fresh air, and open spaces. The Triangle is a beautiful place to grow professionally and start a family.

I am thrilled to be close to Bull City Soles and to continue to advance my barefoot massage skills. I recently completed the Intermediate Supine/Side Body training with Julie and I love incorporating the work into my sessions! I want to enroll in all the classes!

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time on the farm with my animals, working in the garden, and being in nature. We have goats, chickens, and dogs on the farm and we are adding an apiary. My husband and I enjoyed beekeeping when we lived in Florida. We look forward to continuing the family traditions, passing on the values of farm life and starting some new traditions as well.

Thank you for reading my bio, and I hope to see you on my table soon!"
